Edheads is an online educational resource that provides free science and math games and activities that promote critical thinking. Choose from Simple Machines, Virtual Knee Surgery or Stem Cell Heart Repair, among others. All activities meet state and national standards.
We partner with corporations, universities, and school systems throughout the United States, which help us research, design, and test our activities every step of the way. Not only do teachers and students appreciate our free activities, Edheads has been recognized by almost every major award on the Web for our excellent educational content.

Edheads is a nonprofit organization, and we rely on the generosity of people like you to sustain current activities and fund new ones. Improved science literacy is critical to future innovation and to creating a viable future workforce. Science involves creative thinking, curiosity, observational skills, collaboration and problem solving – all things that have been identified as being important for success in current and future careers. Please help fund our mission of providing high end, free science games to all. You will be supporting students, teachers, after school groups and families who need or enjoy our content. Our online giving site is safe and secure, and your gift will go to work immediately to support the more than 12 million people who use our activities each year. Even a $5 donation is important as it can provide our Simple Machines activity to over 2,000 elementary students.
Edheads has joined with COSI, Columbus, Ohio's Center of Science and Industry, to offer four family memberships as prizes to teachers loading content related to our surgery activities on our Teacher Resource Center. To win a science center membership, enter a quiz or worksheet for one of Edheads surgery activities in the Teacher Resource Center. One winner will be selected each week from April 15 through May 10. Winners will be announced in the Teacher Resource Center weekly and on this page in May. Winners will receive one of four free one-year Family Memberships to COSI, named America's number one science center for families by Parents magazine. A COSI Family Membership ($110 value) offers free or reduced price admission to over 300 science museums around the country - just in time for family trips this summer! Be sure to check out COSI's full lineup of interactive videoconference programs, including their live knee replacement surgery and award-winning human autopsy programs. The Edheads’ team thinks these are amazingly cool programs. Students talk about them for months afterward!
