Students create assistive devices

Posted By Jen Cassidy, Monday, February 15, 2016

In February 2016, Edheads partnered with the PAST Foundation to offer an after school program for middle school students. Engineer It! Design a Device was a three week program offered for two hours on Wednesday afternoons. Each student interviewed a senior citizen and then designed or improved an assistive device that could help the person they interviewed.

During the first session students played Edheads' Design A Cell Phone game to help develop their understanding of the design process and the importance of learning about the wants and needs of customers.

Another session will be offered in April.

Sounds like a great program. How do I sign my kid up for this?
