Ways to fund your Edheads Membership

If you are interested in an Edheads Membership but need a way to fund it, we have some suggestions. If you find a way to fund your membership purchase and want to add it to our list of ideas, please let us know at so we can share great ideas with the whole community.

Try presenting the idea at a PTA/PTO meeting. If you include your students as part of the presentation, they can talk about why they love Edheads and you can share why it fits so well with your curriculum.

A great resource for teachers to put projects out to the world. You can find the basics and sign up here on the teacher home page: to start your project request.

Local Business Partners:

Do you have a business partner who is matched with your school? They might be very happy to fund an Edheads membership.  Or businesses that have not yet partnered might consider paying for a school or district membership if you agree to put their name in front of the students using it.  This could be as simple as announcing 'we get to use Edheads today thanks to ABC Business.'

Civic Organizations:

Many communities, even the smallest towns, may have civic organizations who would be pleased to support an Edheads Membership. Find out if your community has one of the following:

Rotary International

Lions Club International

Optimist International

Kiwanis International

Ruritan National, Inc

Sertoma International

Banks and Branches:

Most areas have branches of local, regional and national banks.  All are good places to ask for a donation to purchase an Edheads' membership.  While we have not talked to a bank about this, we understand from a retired banker that banks and branches are required to give away a certain amount of money to communities where they are located.  So banks might be a great way to pay for a school or district membership!

Professionals in your area:

If you use Edheads primarily for surgery games, consider calling an area surgeon or surgical practice to ask for a donation to support your membership.  Ditto for weather, engineering (simple machines) and other careers.  Most of these STEM professionals make enough money to make a tax deductible donation to support education in/about their field.  You might also pick up some career day guests!
